Kisanwala's Farmer Meets and Digital Outreach
Kisanwala has been actively organising farmer meetups in different markets where we are present, to directly connect with farmers, spread awareness about agri-inputs, and build stronger relationships between Market Hub partners and local farmers. These events had multiple benefits—from helping new farmers download and register on the Kisanwala App to creating a better connection between them and the Kisanwala platform. Held in village settings, each event was a mix of learning, discussion, and celebration, all focused on one main goal: empowering farmers—both offline and online.
The core programs included:
  • Personal farm visits and small group meetings with 40–50 farmers at each location

  • Awareness sessions focused on agri-inputs, with simple and clear guidance on usage, application, and crop-wise suitability

  • Crop health advisory based on local seasonal conditions

Kisanwala App: Making Digital Simple for Farmers:

Farmers were shown how to register on the Kisanwala app, search for products, and see the special offers available for them. The app was explained through live demos, which helped many first-time users feel comfortable using it. They also got to know about the loyalty rewards and discounts on the app, which made them feel it’s useful even after the event.

The Goal: Make Technology Easy and Useful for Rural Farmers:

One of the most liked features shown during these events was the Kisanwala CropCare (Crop Doctor) tool. It helps farmers quickly identify and solve crop problems. During the events:
  • Farmers were taught how to upload photos of their crops inside the app
  • They saw how they can get instant diagnosis and solution suggestions
  • The Crop Doctor’s chemical, biological, and organic solutions were explained in detail
  • Real cases were taken from local fields, so farmers could connect easily

Kisanwala’s Free Advisory Services:

A key highlight was the focus on free expert advice through the Kisanwala platform, which includes:
  • Real-time WhatsApp and phone support from agriculture experts
  • Personalised crop calendars and Package of Practices (POP)
  • Pest and disease control tips through both the app and field visits
Farmers learned how these services can help them make smarter decisions, get better yields, and spend less on inputs. “Earlier, I used to ask my neighbours or guess what went wrong. Now I use the Kisanwala Crop Doctor and get clear advice,” said Laxman, a farmer from Warangal. “I liked the free gift, but what helped more was the app demo. I didn’t know I could get crop advice sitting at home,” said Meenakshi, a cotton farmer.

Looking Ahead: Stronger Rural Connect:

Kisanwala will soon expand to more Market Hub partner locations. Farmers will get seasonal pest and disease alerts through the app, along with crop-specific demo days and live webinars for better guidance.
